Patient/Donor Stories

Shore Medical Center has touched and been touched by many lives and each has a personal story that enriches our own.

Our story began in 1940, when a group of local citizens turned an old sanatorium into a non-profit community hospital. Since then, countless people have participated in a narrative that is still being written: the individuals who come to us for care and treatment, the doctors and nurses who offer compassionate healthcare, the staff members who provide dedicated support throughout the organization, and the philanthropists who support the Medical Center's mission and ongoing growth.

We are honored to share stories from our patients and our donors, whose generosity has helped to sustain and advance our role as a medical leader and a valued resource that our community can count on in their time of need.
